This is our first venture into operating our own club website. Our intentions are:

1. to provide a resource for existing members, and

2. to encourage new visitors to the site to join us.

OUR CLUB We are situated very close to the centre of Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, in the north-western corner of the Elm Grove Recreation Ground. Our outdoor 6-rink bowling green is open from April to September. Our Club has a long history, dating back to 1922. New members, both beginners and experienced players, whether interested in competitive or social bowling, are always welcome. Our Qualified Club Coaches will be pleased to offer, free of charge, an introduction to the game as well as any necessary bowls instruction. Please do get in touch if you are at all interested in finding out more about us, but first of all, why not take a look at the 'COME & JOIN US' Section? Just click on our 'About Us' Page here to go there, or use the link in the top menu. You can contact us for details of what we have to offer, or just to express an interest in finding out more about our club, by completing and submitting our 'EXPRESSION OF INTEREST' Form. Click HERE to access this form. The 'Contact Us' button on the above menu can also be used to email us. If you fancy a more direct approach, just come along to the club from 5.30 p.m. on any Tuesday evening (late April to mid-September) and try us out.

Technical Note

The web site is still under active development and your suggestions for adding to it, or making it more user-friendly, would be welcome - particularly constructive comments!

The way the web pages appear on individual screens will depend on your screen resolution. This website has been designed for a 1280 x 960 display. If your own screen resolution has a smaller setting (e.g. 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600), you may find the page easier to view if you adjust your screen resolution to a setting of 1280 x 960. This should prevent the print size from appearing too large and will allow the whole page to be viewed without the need to scroll horizontally.

Settings can be adjusted by right-clicking on the desktop, clicking 'Properties', then 'Settings', then adjusting the slide bar.

The appearance of these web pages will also differ according to which browser is being used. They have been tested, but not exhaustively, in MS Internet Explorer (the most commonly used browser), in Mozilla Firebird, Opera, and in Avant Browser. Please let us know of any significant problems you may find with these browsers or with any others being used. If you notice any errors in the content or bugs in the operation of the website then please also let us know.

We shall endeavour to keep the information on our website as up-to-date as possible, but there will from time-to-time be a delay in posting information.
