2008 - WALTON ANNUAL FOURS TOURNAMENT: Our 14th WALTON ANNUAL FOURS TOURNAMENT will be held this year on Sunday 3rd August starting at 10.00am. Entries are now invited for this event which is sponsored by Stagecoach Theatre Arts Plc.Participants have a full day's bowling in a round robin format followed by semi finals and final.Lunch and tea included in entry fee. Bar open all day. Cash Prizes for the winners and runners up. ANY COMBINATION OF TEAM MEMBERS; First 24 teams applying accepted; Dress - Whites; There is an entry fee of £28 per team which will cover lunch and tea for the team. Additional charge (£4.50) for visitors. Goodberry & Drabble Cups: In a change from the printed fixture list, please note that these competitions, to be played on Sunday 15th June, will take place in the afternoon only, starting at 2 p.m. and will be followed (at 6 p.m. approximately) by a supper. |

2008 FIXTURES: Fixtures for 2008 have now been finalised and details can be seen in the EVENTS CALENDAR above as well as in the FIXTURES Section (top menu). Use of the green and facilities will be loaned for certain fixtures - The Mayor's Match on Wednesday 6th July, for Home Counties D.B.A. against Gloucester on Saturday 17th May, and for a number of Probus matches, normally on Wednesday mornings. Please note that the start-time of the Away match against Imber Court on Wednesday August 20th has now been brought forward half-an-hour to 5.30p.m. and not 6 p.m. as printed in the Fixtures Booklet. In another change from the printed fixture booklet, the Ladies' match against Whiteley Villaage on 5th August will be 2 not 3 triples. |

ADDITIONAL WEB PAGES: Until completed, two sections of the website are currently password-protected. These are the 'PHOTO GALLERY' and 3 pages on 'LAWN BOWLS'. These can be accessed by using a 'User Name' and 'Password', the current versions of which are posted in the clubhouse. If there is any interest for it among members, we plan to add some further items in a 'MISCELLANY' Section. These could be mostly non-bowls items, e.g. a Headline (Breaking) News Feed, up-to-date Sports News and Results, Weather Forecasts, Dictionary, Current Film Reviews, Recipes, Reference, Word Games, Jigsaws, Chess, Mini-Games, etc. These pages will currently appear as 'UNDER CONSTRUCTION' when accessed from the top menu.
