Ladies Junior Championship

Hancox Cup - Four woods. 21 shots. Losing finalist gets the Millie Marchant Cup. Open to those Ladies who have not won either the Ladies or the Junior Championship. Currently played as a round robin in two sections. Section winners play on Finals weekend.

 

Ladies Handicap

Birkhead Cup - Four woods. 21 shots. Losing finalist gets the Finalist Cup.

 

Ladies Two Woods

Ann Puttock Cup - Two wood. 21 ends.

 

Ladies Singles 106 points

Diamond Jubilee Cup - 106 points ie. wood nearest jack four points, next three, then two and then one.

 

Ladies Pairs

Miskin Cup - Four woods 21 ends. Currently played as a round robin in two sections. Winner of each section play on Finals Weekend.

Robinson Cup - Four woods. 21 shots. Losing finalist gets Devereau Cup.

 

Mens Over 65s

Kim Cup - Four woods. 21 shots. Open to those men over 65. Played over two sets of nine ends each and if required a tie breaker of three ends.

Goodberry Cup - Played as a one day round robin with final on Finals weekend. Three woods. 21 shots.

PLEASE NOTE:

The ENTRY FEE to each competition is £2.00, with the exception of the Jacquie Beard Cup, entry to which is FREE.

The Ladies' and Men's Junior Championships are open to those who have not previously won the Club or Junior Championships.

The Mixed Pairs Round Robin, Men's and Ladies' Round Robins and the Mixed Triples Round Robin and are all one day competitions. (Note - these are the Falklands, Goodberry, Drabble and Mixed Triples Cups - see 'Fixtures' Page for dates.)


Competition Rules

  1. The Competitor whose name appears first is the Challenger and is responsible for providing the Marker in Singles Competitions.


  2. The Challenger shall offer the Opponent at least two dates. Unless otherwise agreed a minimum of 7 days notice should be given. Once a date is fixed it must be kept unless varied by mutual consent.


  3. All competitors are asked to complete the holiday list. Failure to do so (or to take note of) could result in the Competitor being scratched from the Competition.


  4. The closing date of each round will be strictly adhered to, but in the event of illness an extra week will be allowed.


  5. Except for the Elm Cup, competitors must have made themselves available for at least three home and three away Club matches prior to them reaching the semi-final round. Failure to do so will result in the competitor being scratched from the competition.


  6. All competitors should be aware of the date of the Finals and must be prepared to play on that date should they be successful; should a player reach the semi-final knowing that s/he will not be able to play the final should s/he win, s/he must advise the opponent and marker that s/he will concede the semi-final at the commencement of play.


Entry Forms will be available late April. Completed forms, accompanied by the appropriate
entry fees, should be sent or handed to the Competition Secretary by 21/4/08.
